Dr. Hassanein’s Education & Training
Dr. Hassanein earned her dental degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, along with a Master’s in Public Health with a dental emphasis, giving her a well-rounded foundation in both clinical care and the broader picture of whole-body health. Her Master’s thesis focused on maternal oral health in rural communities, highlighting her dedication to underserved populations and the long-term impact of oral health on family wellness.
Dr. Hassanein went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs, where she continued to serve our nation’s veterans for nearly a decade. During her time at the VA, she served as an attending dentist, training General Practice Residency (GPR) residents in the delivery of hospital-based dentistry. This role allowed her to share her expertise while continuing to provide comprehensive care in a hospital setting.
In addition to general dentistry, Dr. Hassanein has a special interest in sleep-disordered breathing and is trained in oral appliance therapy for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). She works closely with sleep physicians to help patients find relief from snoring, fatigue, and disrupted sleep using custom-fit oral devices as a comfortable, non-invasive alternative to CPAP therapy.
